Note, each diamond is unique and has its own precise gemological characteristics, therefore pricing will vary. Price is based on various factors including color, clarity, cut, and carat weight.

Personalized details and sentiments make the most beautiful rings even more special. Exclusive to Jean Dousset, the Signature Stone® is a secret “hidden stone” placed underneath the center stone, visible only to those you choose to share it with. You can select from a variety of gemstones in different colors.
The Signature Stone® is not visible through your diamond, nor will it impact the color or beauty of your diamond.

Your Jean Dousset engagement ring will arrive in our signature black Jean Dousset gift box, which includes the diamond certificate, cleaning cloth, Perfecting Foam cleaner, a light up engagement ring box, and your one of a kind engagement ring.
Cut grade, Carat weight, Color grade and Clarity grade. Today, the 4Cs of diamond quality are the universal method for assessing the quality of any diamond. The creation of the Diamond 4Cs mean two very important things: diamond quality can be communicated in a universal language, and diamond customers know exactly the quality of the diamond they are purchasing.

All of our lab diamond engagement rings created with 1.00 carat and above center stones are GIA certified. The GIA certificate comes with the purchase of your lab diamond engagement ring.
Our pink and yellow diamond center stones are not GIA certified unless specified. Currently, most colored diamonds are IGI certified. Please review individual products for certification details or reach out to us for guidance.

Program Eligibility Details:
• Only the original diamond ring purchaser or their significant other on the account can request the trade-in.
• To be eligible, your center stone diamond must be a lab-grown diamond, smaller than four (4) carats, and in its original condition. You must also provide your original order number and original purchaser information.
• Any damage to the original diamond will disqualify the diamond upgrade.
• Upon inspection of your diamond, you will receive a Jean Dousset credit up to 100% of the original purchase price of your lab-grown diamond engagement ring.

How The Program Works:
When trading in a Jean Dousset lab-grown diamond engagement ring, the entire credit must be applied towards the purchase of a new Jean Dousset lab-grown diamond engagement ring that is at least 50% greater in total retail value. For example, if you purchased your original engagement ring for $10,000, your total upgraded ring value must be at least $15,000.

We stand by the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Jean Dousset offers a complimentary lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects on all engagement rings and jewelry pieces. This warranty includes any quality issues that arise only from a manufacturing defect.
This warranty does not cover issues that arise from general wear and tear, misuse, and negligence, including but not limited to: scratches, discoloration due to any chemical contact, warped metal, dents, misshapen bands, lost stones, or cracked stones. Lost or stolen pieces are also not covered by this warranty. Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than Jean Dousset will void the warranty.
If you believe your jewelry has a defect, please Contact Us so that you may send it back to us for inspection where we may repair or replace your jewelry, as deemed appropriate and in alignment with this policy. If you require repair services, please review our Care & Repair section.

Gemstones are exclusive to our Signature Stone® feature. We do not currently offer gemstones in Jean Dousset jewelry designs otherwise.
A Jean Dousset creation is crafted with unique design features, such as our clawed prongs, tapered bands, and a low profile setting. Each of our designs accentuate and protect your diamond, while minimizing any bulkiness and unnecessary precious metals, which would not be possible with a high setting. That said, you may share an example of the type of setting you are interested in and our Client Care team can confirm if it’s possible to create within Jean Dousset’s design DNA.
Many luxury jewelry brands do not offer wedding bands that sit fully flush with engagement rings, as there are many benefits to keeping a small space between the rings. Having this space prevents your rings from grinding away the metal and prongs together, and minimizes the chance of losing pavé diamonds. This separation also allows your engagement ring to sit lower for more secure and easy everyday wear.

Much of our jewelry is handcrafted and custom made-to-order. Most of our made-to-order jewelry takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks from purchase to delivery, depending on the complexity. Using our Perfecting Foam cleaner on a daily basis is highly recommended. We also recommend using a small in-home ultrasonic cleaner.
Our Perfecting Foam is made from 100% natural botanicals and very simple to use.
For a light cleaning, we recommend using the Perfecting Foam cleaner once a day and an in-home ultrasonic cleaner once a week. For a deeper cleaning, we suggest having your ring professionally cleaned at our workshop once a year. Please contact our Client Care team if you're interested in a professional cleaning.
Our pieces are created for everyday wear, but we recommend removing your ring/band during workouts, household chores, or any other strenuous activity to avoid scratching or damaging your jewelry.

If moving forward with inspection, repair, and/or a cleaning, please Contact Us for assistance with shipping your jewelry piece(s), complimentary both ways (within the US). You may also schedule a virtual or showroom appointment for assistance with shipment.
If you have a minor or major repair, we will have our workshop conduct a thorough inspection and then email you a quote to repair your jewelry. Once the estimate is approved and you have paid the quoted amount, we will then instruct our workshop to proceed with your repair.
If you choose to decline the repair we will coordinate return shipping back to you with no work done.
Diamonds are lipophilic, which means they naturally attract dirt, so we recommend cleaning your jewelry as often as possible (at least a few times per week) using our Perfecting Foam jewelry cleaner.
For diamond engagement rings, we recommend a professional inspection and cleaning once a year! Our jewelers will conduct a thorough inspection, tightening of any loose stones, cleaning and light polishing to remove superficial scratches, and preserve its shine.
An in-house ultrasonic cleaning is complimentary if you visit our Beverly Hills Showroom.

The engraving of your choice is undertaken with respect to the technical and aesthetic specifications of the piece. A careful adjustment to your engagement ring ensures that it fits perfectly and with the greatest of comfort. Our master jewelers apply their technical expertise to finely adjust your engagement ring.
Your engagement ring should fit snug but comfortably. It should slide on easily, but you should have to pull or twist a little to get it off. If your ring is uncomfortably tight or it slides off with no resistance at all, your ring should be sized.
If you notice the stone moves from one side of your finger to another, we suggest adding half-moon sizing beads inside the band. It will decrease the ring by approximately a quarter of a size (- ¼). Sizing beads are also used to address issues like the spinning/flipping side-to-side (common with a large diamond) or having larger knuckles.
Fingers can shrink or bloat for many reasons, many of them temporary, like cold weather, salt intake, pregnancy, or weight loss. We highly recommend limiting the frequency of sizing your ring, since every resizing negatively affects the strength of the metal and integrity of the ring.
Your first re-sizing for engagement rings only is complimentary within the first 6 months of delivery and within ¾ up or down from the original size, in order to maintain the integrity of the ring. Shipping both ways is also complimentary for purchases and deliveries within the U.S.
If your diamond ring suffers a shock or hit, or if you see any signs of damage, you should refrain from wearing it until you have had it examined by our team.

Once the type of service that needs to be carried out has been assessed, you will receive an estimate. In most cases, our engagement rings and jewelry are sent secured and insured via FedEx 2-Day or USPS Priority Express, within the US.
We provide secured and insured shipping on all of our packages. Your package is fully insured by us until it reaches its destination.
You should purchase insurance on your jewelry as soon as you receive it. BriteCo will allow you to purchase insurance up to 60 days after you receive your jewelry, and may ask you for a few details, such as your receipt and a picture of the item you wish you insure.

Returns or exchanges must be requested via our website or email and shipped back within 30 days of receipt of your order. Contact Client Care to begin the process.
Your return or exchange must be postmarked within 30 days of receipt of your order. Once you request a return or exchange, a member of our Client Care team will email you an insured return shipping label and packaging instructions.
Returned items must be received in their original packaging, unused, unworn, and undamaged. You must ensure the original packaging, gift box, diamond certificate (if applicable), and any other items received in your original package are included in the return shipment. Jewelry and engagement rings must be returned in perfect condition, as they were delivered to you. Diamonds cannot be separated from their setting in engagement rings or jewelry. We will not accept any return if the creation shows signs of wear, has been used, or has been altered from its original condition in any way.
Please re-use the cardboard shipping box provided, or place in an appropriate shipping carton to prevent damage in transit, and affix our prepaid, insured return label. Do not use the Jean Dousset jewelry box as a shipping box.
We recommend keeping a record of your tracking number so you may monitor the status of your return shipment. We are not responsible for damages incurred in transit. Please insure that your piece is properly packaged to ensure it doesn’t get damaged or we will not be able to fulfill your return.
RETURN OR EXCHANGE TIMING

We highly recommend insuring all of your precious jewelry, as our lifetime warranty only covers manufacturing defects, does not cover issues that arise from general wear and tear, loss, theft, etc. Many clients have used BriteCo, which we recommend as the foremost authority on insuring precious jewelry. In the unfortunate event of loss or theft, you would then file an insurance claim with your provider to purchase a replacement.

Yes, lab-created diamonds will test positive on a diamond tester. Although grown by scientists in a lab instead of in the earth's crust, lab diamonds are absolutely real diamonds. They have the same chemical and optical properties as natural diamonds.
Expert gemologists cannot tell the difference between the two with the naked eye. A lab diamond can only be distinguished from mined diamonds using specialized equipment that can detect the minor differences in trace elements and crystal growth.
No, moissanite is a different mineral and stone than lab-created diamonds, with a completely different look and hardness rating.
We do not work with moissanite for any of our jewelry or engagement rings.
There are two common methods for lab diamond creation and growing, High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition). CVD is a newer technology and the preferred process to produce a quality, genuine diamond. We only use lab diamonds that are grown using the CVD process.
It is generally considered to take about a month to grow a 1ct CVD diamond, although growth periods vary individually for each diamond.
Growing these diamonds requires a unique and innovative process that starts with a thin ‘seed’ diamond placed inside a chamber and subjected to high temperatures. Then, a carbon-rich gas mixture is introduced to the chamber. The gases are ionized to break down their molecular bonds, allowing the pure carbon to attach itself to the diamond seed. As the carbon builds up, it forms atomic bonds with the seed diamond, resulting in the growth of a new, larger diamond — identical to diamonds found in nature.
This is how all of our lab diamond center stones are grown and are exclusively used for our engagement rings.
Just like earth-mined diamonds, their market value will vary over time. Since lab diamonds are a more recent introduction to the market, there is more uncertainty on future pricing when compared to natural diamonds.

A Type IIa diamond is considered to be the most chemically pure type of diamond, with exceptional optical transparency and making up less than 2% of naturally occurring diamonds.

Clarity refers to the number of inclusions that were sealed into a diamond at the time of its formation. In our diamond feed we exclusively offer GIA graded diamonds with VS+ clarity.
Carat weight measures how much a diamond weighs. It’s important to remember that a diamond’s value is determined using all of the 4Cs. An engagement ring with a large diamond that’s big on carat weight, but has a poor cut, can very well be less striking than a diamond with smaller carat weight that was masterfully cut.
Lab diamonds are chemically and optically the same as natural diamonds. The primary difference between a lab grown diamond and an earth-mined diamond is its growth origin. Even an expert gemologist cannot recognize the difference between the two with the naked eye, and lab diamonds test positive on a diamond tester.
